Some of that might include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Don\u2019t take aspirin or other medications or supplements that can interfere with the healing process.<\/li><li>Make sure to wear sunblock and avoid prolonged sun exposure like trips to <a href=\"https:\/\/hampton.gov\/Facilities\/Facility\/Details\/Outlook-Beach-76\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Outlook Beach<\/a>.<\/li><li>Don\u2019t use skin care products with retinol or glycolic acid up to four weeks before your procedure.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What is the Procedure Like?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Laser treatments are outpatient procedures. More than likely you will need more than one treatment to achieve your desired results. You\u2019ll be given a topical anesthetic to numb the skin. In some cases, especially with larger scars, your doctor may also recommend sedation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You may experience some mild discomfort during the procedure, though the anesthetic should work to minimize that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Recovery after Laser Skin Resurfacing<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Recovery after the procedure is usually quite short, between 3-10 days. You may experience some side effects afterward, including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Pain<\/li><li>Swelling<\/li><li>Itching<\/li><li>Redness<\/li><li>Bleeding<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>These should be minor and improve within a few days. Contact your doctor if you experience increased redness or intense pain, as these could be signs of an infection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Recovery Tips<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Make sure to follow your doctor\u2019s aftercare instructions.
