There are many styles available, which can be overwhelming for some. Fortunately, your audiologist will guide you every step of the way. To help you prepare for this decision, we\u2019ve compiled some pros and cons for some common hearing aid styles<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are two basic styles of hearing aid<\/a>: in-the-ear (ITE) and behind-the-ear (BTE).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In-the-Ear (ITE)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

ITEs are custom-fit hearing devices that are worn in the ear canal. This style is typically available in different colors to match your skin tone. Some ITEs are worn very deep in the ear canal and are mostly invisible, while others are worn closer to the outer ear and are more noticeable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Invisible-in-Canal (IIC) & Completely-in-Canal (CIC)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

IIC and CIC style devices are the smallest and most discreet devices available. They are worn very deeply in the ears and are typically fit for people with mild to moderate hearing loss.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
